      Underground hub of future science city
Line 17 will set up two stations in the future science city, that is, the South District station and the North District station. Among them, the South District Station under construction will be a transportation hub with a construction area of about 14 thousand square meters.
The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Rail company introduced that the hub is all located underground, a total of three floors: underground subway station for the third floor, underground bus station for the second floor, underground one for commercial facilities.
Unlike other transportation hubs such as Dongzhimen, the future Science City hub is relatively small in scale. In addition to Metro Line 17, it mainly provides subway and bus transfer functions to serve the future Science City. According to the plan, the transport hub will be completed with the subway station.
      Another transportation hub built on line 17 is the long planned West hub of Wangjing. At present, both Line 13 and Line 15 have stations in the west of Wangjing. Especially after the opening of Line 15, the passenger flow of Wangjing West Station is larger, and the call for the construction of traffic hub is growing.
Wangjing West hub has started construction now. According to the information previously disclosed by the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Wangjing West Hub is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of the Jingcheng Expressway and Huguang Zhongjie in Chaoyang District, with a total land area of 4 hectares. After the completion of the project, it will realize the rapid transfer of subway lines 13, 15, 17 and ground public transport, taxis and bicycles, etc. .
      It is understood that the Wangjing West Hub will also undertake the relocation of some of the city bus departure lines from the Dongzhimen Hub to the suburban New Town in the future, which will play an important role in meeting the regional traffic transfer needs and alleviating the traffic pressure in the Dongzhimen area.

      Previously, the Beijing Municipal Construction Commission and other departments jointly issued the "Guidelines for Promoting Green and Safe Construction of Rail Transit Construction Projects". After various parties'argument, it was decided to adopt the fixed dust-proof isolation shed in the eastern end of the open-cut section of Xiangheyuan Station on Line 17. This membrane structure has been built in the subway station dust-proof isolation shed, and it is also the first time in China to use it in the subway.
      "This is a closed ecological circle tailored to reduce construction pollution." The relevant person in charge of the China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau said that the isolation shed adopted the form of "steel structure + membrane material". The built dust-proof isolation shed is 75.5 meters long and 40 meters wide, which is equivalent to the size of three standard swimming pools. This also realizes the open-cut foundation pit of Xianghe Garden Station closed construction, which has the effect of heat preservation, sound insulation, noise reduction and dust prevention.
      Reporters learned that the dust-proof isolation shed also set up monitoring equipment, automatic spray system, fog gun machine, vehicle flushing device, mobile welding dust purifier. Once the value exceeds the target, the spray equipment will automatically spray and dust and cool down, so as to achieve "one button" intelligent control. According to the calculation, the water consumption of intelligent control sprinkler is only 20% - 30% of the traditional sprinkler, but the coverage area is 20 times higher.
Transfer stations will avoid "trudge".
      Metro line 17 works for 49.7 kilometers, with 20 stations on the whole, with an average distance of 2.57 kilometers. Half of the stations will be transferred to a total of 14 lines.

      Reporters also learned that due to various constraints, Yonganli, East Bridge, Xiba River, Taiyang Palace, Guangqu Gate, Shili River and other stations with the old line will mainly use channel transfer. However, in line 17 transfer station, the passage transfer time is not more than 5 minutes, the station transfer time is not even more than 3 minutes.
      As of the end of April, 65 of the 71 construction sites of Metro Line 17 had entered the city, 49 of which started substantively. At the end of 2018, all the work points were planned to start. It is worth mentioning that the North City Station of the future science city has achieved structural capping.
      According to the previously announced plan, Line 17 from Wangjing West Station to the North District Station of the Future Science City, south of Shilihe Station to the South Station of Yizhuang Station is expected to be the first station to open by the end of 2020, and the whole line is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
