      Reporters from Shenzhen Metro Group learned that in 2018, Shenzhen Metro Phase III and Phase IV projects totaled 14 (including extension lines, excluding the northern extension of Line 4) 273 km of construction projects, the total investment exceeded 250 billion yuan, a record high. It is estimated that by 2023, Shenzhen will have 15 lines, with a total length of 570 km. At the same time, Shenzhen has also brewed 8 subway lines connecting Dongguan and Huizhou.

Since the first three quarters of this year, Shenzhen Metro has completed 17.350 billion yuan of construction investment, accounting for 72% of the year's target tasks. Reporters learned that since 2018, in the second phase of Shenzhen Metro Phase III Project, 61 stations have been roofed and 86% of the main structure has been completed; 185 sections of underground excavation and shield tunneling have run through 104, with the completion rate of 72%. A person in charge of Shenzhen Metro Group disclosed that from 2019 to 2022, Shenzhen Metro will open not less than two new lines per year on average.
