The first shield tunneling machine of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport T3 project rolled off the line smoothly

Recently, the first shield tunneling machine of Baiyun Airport T3 track junction project jointly built by Guangzhou Railway Investment and Construction Group, China Railway Tunnel Bureau Group and China Railway Equipment Group smoothly rolled off the line at Qingyuan Base, marking that the project construction is about to enter the shield construction phase.

The diameter of the downline shield tunneling machine is 8.83 meters, the length of the machine is about 106 meters, and the total weight is about 1,654 tons. It will be used for the construction of the east Fangbai intercity shield section of Baiyun Airport T3 project.

The engineering geology of the project is soft and hard, with dense distribution of bedrock, solitons and karst caves, and the rate of caves is as high as 70.59%. It has the characteristics of complex construction environment, multiple driving control factors and high construction difficulty, which requires extremely high requirements for shield tunneling machines. In view of the "difficulties" in engineering construction, the technical team of the project adhering to the concept of "design + manufacturing" efficient collaborative linkage, tailor-made the upgrade plan, improved the equipment performance, greatly enhanced the equipment adaptability to geology in the process of tunneling, and provided a reliable guarantee for the safe and rapid construction of the shield in the future.

The rail transit reservation Project of Baiyun Airport T3 Transit Hub is located in the red line of Baiyun Airport, west of the Second Expressway of Baiyun Airport, east of Airport Avenue South and south of Baiyun Airport Terminal T3. It is the implementation of the Outline of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan and the "1+1+9" work deployment proposed by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the Guangdong Provincial Government. It is a key project to accelerate the realization of the "two high-speed railway and two intercity" track layout and the "zero transfer, one chemical" air and rail combined transportation hub, and help build the regional development pattern of "one nuclear belt, one district" in Guangdong.
