So far, 17 pipe segments of shenzhong Channel have been successfully docked, with the length of the submerged tunnel reaching 2,640.2 meters.

Shenzhongdao Undersea tunnel is the world's first bi-directional eight-lane super-wide steel-shell concrete immersed tube tunnel, which consists of 32 pipe sections and one final joint. Among them, E14 pipe section is the standard pipe section, 165 meters long, 46 meters wide and 10.6 meters high.

At 6:30 a.m., 15th, E14 pipe section and E13 pipe section were docked through the process of sinking, pulling and hydraulic pressing. At 20:30, it was confirmed by through-through measurement that the joint accuracy met the acceptance and evaluation standard.

At present, the construction of shenzhen-China Corridor is progressing steadily. Lingdingyang Bridge and Zhongshan Bridge have entered the superstructure construction stage, the construction of the east and west artificial islands has been carried out orderly, and the sunken tube tunnel is springing to prepare for the sinking of the next pipe section.
