Shenzhen Metro Line 12 has successfully crossed the sea

On August 26, according to the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Transport, the first shield tunnel project of Shenzhen rail transit has successfully "crossed the sea". The shield tunneling of the right line of the left tai section of Subway Line 12 under construction (i.e. Zuobattery station ~ Taizi Bay Station) has been completed recently, which is one step closer to the complete tunneling of the shield tunneling of Line 12. The length of the left line and the right line of the left section of Line 12 is about 908.96m and 913.18m respectively. The length of the sea area traversed by the left line is about 158.56m, and the length of the sea area traversed by the right line is about 185.49m. The section adopts "mine method + shield tunneling method" construction, and two mud-water balance shield machines undertake the tunneling task in this area. Zuotai section (zuobattery station - Taizi Bay Station) left line also started construction of undercrossing sea on August 6; On August 19, the left line shield machine emerged safely and smoothly from shekou sea area. The total length of Metro Line 12 is about 40.6km, with a total of 33 stations, 18 of which are transfer stations. It can be called the "transfer major" of western Shenzhen metro. Line 12 connects nanshan Central area, Baoan central area, Fuyong area, big Airport and exhibition area with rail transit backbone lines. The line is expected to be completed and open to traffic by 2022.
