It is reported that the first section of Line 22 (from Panyu Square to Chentougang) is 18.2 kilometers long, with a total of 36.4 kilometers of tracks to be laid. Faced with many difficulties such as long construction line, tight construction period and heavy tasks, the builders of Guangzhou Metro and construction units made overall plans in advance to improve the construction plan and provide all-round guarantee for the construction. In order to complete the construction task as scheduled, the subway builders set up three track-laying bases and put 141 concrete trucks, 8 rail cars, 27 track-laying machines and other equipment. A total of 720 people were working at the same time during the peak hours, and the construction was accelerated by multiple teams working in shifts.

In the process of construction, the subway builders also adopted the combination of "machine laying" and "scattered laying", which effectively solved the construction difficulties of excessive professional cross-work and narrow construction space, and fully improved the efficiency of track-laying work. At the same time, the most advanced CPIII measurement technology of high-speed railway in China is used to comprehensively and systematically measure and adjust the track geometry size, and the measurement error is controlled within 1 mm, which greatly improves the accuracy of construction and the track ride comfort. In addition, the subway builders have also adopted the "rail area management system" to comprehensively strengthen the capacity of construction scheduling and rail area safety control, effectively improving the construction efficiency and safety quality of the project.

According to the introduction of Guangzhou Metro Group, the successful completion of the short rail of the line has created favorable conditions for the subsequent long rail completion, equipment installation, vehicle commissioning and other links, and has also laid a solid foundation for the cold and hot slip tests of the first section.

Up to now, 94% of the civil works of the first section of Guangzhou Metro Line 22 (from Panyu Square to Chentougang) have been completed. 4 stations for equipment installation and decoration construction; The whole section of track, power supply and other professional construction. The track engineering has entered the stage of long rail welding, which provides conditions for the next cold and hot slide test of trains.
