On the morning of December 1st, with a burst of warm applause, shenwan No.1, the first mud-water balancing shield machine of Suiguan-Shenzhen-Shenzhen intercity Railway, was successfully rolled off the production line at Nansha Plant of Railway Construction Heavy Industry. Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen Intercity Railway is the first intercity railway constructed by Shenzhen Railway Investment and Construction Group. "Shenwan No.1" is the first shield machine of Shenzhen Railway Investment and Construction Group in Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen intercity railway. The off-line of this equipment has a milestone significance for Shenzhen intercity railway construction and railway construction heavy industry.

"Shenwan No. 1" shield machine is jointly developed by China Railway Construction Heavy Industry, Shenzhen Railway Investment and Construction Group and China Railway No.14 Bureau, aiming at the front section of Suguan-Guan-Shenzhen Inter-city Machine project. It is a mud-water balance shield machine with top distribution and indirect control, which is suitable for this project. This type of 9-meter shield tunneling machine has been successfully applied to guangzhou line 18/22, Pazhou branch line, Guang-Fo-Ring line and Zhuji Intercity project. The total length of the shield tunneling machine is about 127m, the total weight is about 1300t, the excavation diameter is 9140mm, the driving power of the cutter is 3000kW, and the installed power is 5300kW.

In this project, the shield tunneling machine is required to advance 4.46km alone, covering 2.2km of breezy granite and long sea area. In order to solve these problems, the equipment adopts high strength and high rock breaking composite knife disc, and at the same time overcomes the cutting-edge technology of high-precision gas-liquid pressure balance control, which greatly improves the reliability and geological adaptability, and comprehensively upgrades the performance.

After the equipment goes off the line, it will sound the horn of efficient tunneling in the front section of Suiguan-Shenzhen-Intercity Airport, which will start the prelude of shenzhen entering the peak period of intercity railway construction, and speed up the construction of the first section of Shenzhou-Huizhou, Shenzhen-Dalian, Longda, Suiguan-Shenzhen-Intercity Qianhai to Huanggang Port.
