BEIJING, May 18 (Xinhua) -- China's tunneling machine "Unblocked" launched smoothly at 10 am on May 18 at the site of the Yangtze River shield crossing project on the eastern route of Russia, marking the official start of drilling of the project. This project is the shield tunneling project for oil and gas pipeline across the river, which has the longest tunneling distance, the deepest burial depth, the highest water pressure, the largest caliber and the most complicated construction environment in the world.

Suzhou Rail Transit Line S1 is a demonstration project of integrated infrastructure interconnection in Yangtze River Delta. Today (April 18), the left section of Suzhou Rail Transit Line S1 from Shunfan Road Station to Jinshajiang Road Station was completed.

The shield tunneling machine "wanjiang struggle", built by China railway construction company, rolled off the production line in changsha, capital of central China's changsha city, on March 26, and will be transported to the site for assembly and excavation of the Yangtze river tunnel south of wuhu. This is the first super-large diameter shield tunnel across the Yangtze River in Anhui Province, marking the addition of another channel across the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the acceleration of the construction of the big channel connecting the south of Wuhu and the emerging industrial concentration area in Jiangbei. It is of great significance to the "river-embracing development" of Wuhu.
