On October 20th, the cumulative excavation of the double-track tunnel between Baida No. 1 Well and Dayun Station in the Fifth Work area of the 2nd contract section of Shenzhen-Dalian Intercity Railway exceeded 8,000 meters, marking that the project has fully entered the sprint stage and laying a solid foundation for the on-schedule completion of the entire line.

The double-track tunnel between Baida No. 1 Well and Dayun Station is 10.39 kilometers long. Along the way, it needs to pass through karst development areas, uneven soft and hard composite strata, and multiple fractured zones. It also passes under several expressways and existing railway lines. The settlement control requirements are strict and the construction difficulty is high.

Facing complex geological conditions, the project team relied on the technical advantages of the "Original Aspiration" and "Mission" dual-channel slurry/earth pressure balance shield machines, combined with intelligent guidance and real-time monitoring systems, and fully leveraged the efficiency advantages of the dual-channel mucking design, effectively overcoming the construction challenges brought about by complex strata. During the construction process, the project department adhered to meticulous management, scientifically organized construction, strictly implemented safety and quality control requirements, and continuously improved the tunneling efficiency by optimizing process connections and strengthening equipment maintenance.
